How have you put together successful lectures in your town that get an interesting dialogue between people who are supporters of fair trade, are willing to speak about it the issues and local audiences?

We have organized screenings of fair trade related films including Black Gold and Bananas the Movie. These screenings have spurred excellent conversations and motivated many to get involved in our fair trade city campaign. We are fortunate here in Chicago to have many fair trade vendors who work directly with artisan groups who have shared stories at our fair trade meetings. The ultimate is when we are fortunate enough to have producers come through town and people have a chance to meet them. Best of luck!
