Emma Ladouceur
Emma is a college student and is representing the University at Albany branch of SSTOP’s (Students Stopping Trafficking of People) Fair Trade Committee. Although she is new to this campaign, Emma has been interested in the topics of Fair Trade and sustainability for years and has conducted her own research to better understand the issues people face globally. At UAlbany, Emma is also a member of Project Sunshine, which involves volunteering in children’s hospitals by conducting games and activities to take a child’s mind off of their illnesses. Emma has always been very interested in helping people and this is accounted for her decision to join and her recommendation for this campaign.
Emma is currently a junior at the University at Albany, majoring in History and minoring in Political Science and Education. She hopes to be a middle or high school History teacher in the near future. Emma is originally from Heuvelton, N.Y but moved to Albany, N.Y when she began college. She is passionate about the environment, social justice reform, history, and enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with her friends outside of school.
