La Mesa CA is a city located in San Diego County. It borders the Eastern edge of the city of San Diego . Nicknamed “Jewel of the Hills”, La Mesa is distinct for its village atmosphere and surrounding foothills. The population is 60,000. Many of the residents have lived in La Mesa for years and some are descendants of the “pioneers” who established the city in 1912. La Mesa was officially declared a “Fair Trade Town USA” during it Centennial year 2012.
