UCC Norwell Fair Trade Initiative
We are a Christ-centered inclusive community called to ministry. We purchase Fair Trade coffees, teas , chocolates, etc from Equal Exchange, a local Fair Trade roaster, and serve it every Sunday at coffee hour. We also have Fair Trade sales one Sunday after church during fellowship hour every month. Here we sell a variety of Equal Exchange products and occasionally craft items from Uganda, El Salvador and Haiti. The Fair Trade Initiative hosted its third Fair Trade Alternative Market on November 2, 2019. This market brings together Fair Trade vendors and local small farmers and artisans to provide fair trade purchasing power to the South Shore area of Massachusetts. We are very excited to provide this opportunity of growth in the Fair Trade movement . We also work hand in hand to support our South Shore Interfaith Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
