In honor of Fair-Trade Month in October:

The dark secret behind yours and your child’s #Halloween treats:

“SLAVERY:A Global Investigation”-a documentary about forced labor in the chocolate industry- in preparation for Halloween.

We encourage students and community members to only support companies who use fair trade cocoa beans in their chocolate production.

The ‘Trick’ in Trick-or-Treat could be that the treats your child gets are produced through another child’s sweat and tears.

Don’t let that be the case. Learn how at this event. Documentary discussed slavery in many industries including rug-making.

FREE FAIR TRADE CHOCOLATE SAMPLES WILL BE GIVEN OUT AT THE END!!

Forced child labor (slavery) and abuse that has tainted almost all brands (#Mars, #Nestle, #Kraft, #Hersheys #Godiva, #Ghirardelli) of modern chocolate. We will be giving out FREE samples and selling fair trade (slavery free) chocolate to students to raise awareness of these fair options and to act as a fundraiser for our club. Please join us. Together We Can Change the World. #HuRAForFreedom!
We are partnering with the SUU Sustainability Club for this event
