Fair Trade Minneapolis creates jobs in Haiti!
Fall 2024 – Meet us in Minneapolis Sat., Sep. 21, 4-10pm at the Powderhorn Porchfest from 3201 to 3329 17th Ave S!
We’ll bring Fair Trade art from Papillon Marketplace in Haiti. This helps families in Haiti by providing training and sustainable jobs for parents in need.
Visit our booth to learn more about Fair Trade and get Fair Trade chocolate and tea for free!
Haiti needs help! We offer artisan-made Fair Trade art from Papillon Marketplace in Haiti! Metal wall art, garden stakes, jewelry, ceramic mugs, Haiti Friend Dolls, holiday ornaments and greeting cards!
When time permits, we give away 4-bag samples of dozens of kinds of Fair Trade tea and some Fair Trade chocolate!
In Minneapolis, we give Fair Trade Awards (for free) to small businesses & food co-ops to celebrate the number of different Fair Trade products they sell.
We encourage people to choose Fair Trade coffee, tea, chocolate, sugar, bananas, and artisan products to pay farmers and artisans fairly, protect the environment with the Fair Trade Standards, and ensure that cocoa is farmed by adults.

Reach out to Retailers
Work with retail locations in your town to offer two or more Fair Trade products.
Enroll Community Organizations
Each town must have a certain number of community organizations using or serving Fair Trade products.
Commit to Fair Trade Education and Events
Raise awareness of Fair Trade in your community through educational events, media coverage, and other activities.
Pass a Fair Trade Resolution
Work with your city or town council to pass a resolution in support of Fair Trade.
