The Environmental/Fair Trade Ministries plan to have a Fair Trade coffee booth at the parish Fall Festival for 2014. Possibilities: Sell FT coffee, hot chocolate, and tea.
Initiated in 2009, the Expo brings people together from across the state (and country) to learn about and become more involved in fair trade. As in past years, the expo will include keynote speakers, workshops, and a fair trade marketplace, with the potential for additional programs involving students and youth organizations.
This is our 10th year of putting on our Fair Trade gift fair, we sell fair trade items, clothing, coffee, holiday ornaments, etc. We educate the public about fair trade and they have a choice in their purchases in things such as coffee, tea, chocolate and clothing.
2nd./1st. is a Downtown Church and Court Steet Methodist Church is our neighbor. We provide Fair Trade Coffee and eco-friendly cups to Court Street UMC, to use at their Thanksgiving Dinner.
