This is a script that I used for a Fair Trade 101 event that we held at the library. I decided to use lots of media, so there are links to people’s stories more than there are lists of statistics.

Organizations Outreach Letter

This is the letter to leave with Organizations when you are first making contact with them about your town campaign. It will help them to know after you have left who you are with, what you are asking for, and how they can get in touch with you.

Retail Outreach Letter

This would be a letter you could bring with you when you first make contact with retailers about joining your campaign. This way they have something solid in front of them after you’ve left, they can see that you are part of a larger organization, and they easily have your contact info as well.

Basic Intro Script

This is a sample intro conversation when approaching retailers, organizations, or churches about your Town Campaign. It can be used as a simple guide and can also be used to have mock introductions during your team meetings.
