Screening of ‘Connected by Coffee’ and Speaker from Dynamite Coffee

The Fair Trade Committee is screening a documentary called ‘Connected by Coffee’ followed by a speaker from Dynamite Roasting Company, a local roaster who participates in the fair trade system. Guests from Ten Thousand Villages and the French Broad Food Co-op will be tabling on how they offer fair trade products to our community.

How to be an ‘Ethical Shopper’

Together with Ten Thousand Villages and UNC Asheville faculty, we hosted a panel discussion on fair trade – what is it, why is it important to support and ways consumers can shop more ethically. This event was hosted by the Block off Biltmore downtown, a meeting space promoting conversations around social, economical and environmental issues.
