What events have you hosted that have had the biggest impact in your community?
Was there some event you’ve hosted that attracted a lot of people? Or that visibly left an impact on those that attended? Have you had an experience with an individual or a group who attended who became really involved in the Fair Trade movement after your event? Was there an event that marked a turning point in your campaign (i.e. was the final push to get your town, city, school, college, etc. declared)?
How has your campaign planned for the beginning of the 2016-2017 academic year?
The fall semester is right around the corner. What have your campaigns planned or are planning in order to hit the ground running with educating and campaigning about fair trade?
How to recruit new members?
Almost everyone in my club is a senior who is graduating in May, and I am having a hard time recruiting new students to guarantee the club and campaign will stay alive. If you are dealing with this also or have dealt with it in the past please share any tips, ideas and or recommendations you have!
What do you need from FTC to make the 2015-2016 school year great?
The 2014-2015 school year was a smashing success for Colleges, Universities, and Schools (check out the highlights on the blog here http://bit.ly/1On5A6Z). The summer days are numbered and fall is fast approaching. For campaigns that work on an academic calendar, things are gearing up again. What new resources (powerpoints, fact sheets, how-to’s) do you need to make this school year even better?

How do you start a FT social media page?
Fair Trade Villanova is looking to start a Facebook page for our efforts. What are your suggestions? What material receives the most attention on your page? What are some best practices in creating a social media presence? Does anyone have any specific “launch” ideas?
How to Incorporate Fair Trade Handicrafts in College Store
I am interested in how I would go about getting fair trade handicrafts, gifts, etc. in our college bookstore. I know other fair trade colleges have these types of products such as lanyards, shirts, scarves, etc. from organizations like Mayan Hands and Alta Gracia (which I know we have Alta Gracia shirts). I am trying to incorporate products from Jolom Mayaetik, the cooperative that one of my professors works with from Chiapas, Mexico. I know that most bookstores on campuses may have specific vendors they have contracts with and it may interfere with those contracts.
Interactive Tabling Activities
Has anyone found or created some really good, short, interactive activities for tabling at events?We are looking for some interactive, educational, and fun activities to have at our tabling events, such as a fun quiz-type activity or matching game.
How to reach out to different school departments about expanding Fair Trade education?
Does anyone have any first hand experience about talking with different university departments requesting them to use more fair trade products or expand their education into fair trade?
What groups do you collaborate with on your campus?
This year I want our campaign to collaborate with other student groups on campus. Has anyone collaborated with other student groups and what were some of the events you did together?
What are some good documentaries with activities that I can show at events on campus?

Fair trade books?
We are looking for good books, movies, and otherwise to stock in our university bookstore. Does anyone have a good reading list?
Tim Hortons on campus?
Word on the street is that SUNY Geneseo will be getting a Tim Hortons on campus within the next year and half. Has anyone had any experience working on fair trade specifically with Tim Hortons? Or maybe even advice about working with Starbucks that could relate?
Ben & Jerry’s Collaboration on Campus?
Ben & Jerry’s ice cream does not exist on our campus (and their closest Scoop Shop is an hour away) – what would be the best way to go about working with them? We have seen successful events on other campuses with them and would like to benefit from this as well!
Getting university administration more involved
We are having difficulty with encouraging our University’s administration to respond to our events and cooperate with us. Any strategies to encourage a university’s staff to participate more with fair trade events or provide what we need?

We have been having troubles getting Freshman and Sophomores involved in our efforts on campus.. How can we get more folks on board and generate new leaders?
